Petr Yan: I will destroy Sterling in a rematch

Russian fighter Petr Yan, who lost due to disqualification at the UFC 259 tournament, spoke about that very blow.

I really am to blame for this blow, but it wasn’t as strong and Sterling clearly stimulated the pain. I know what a knockout is, a person can’t stand up, his arms and legs are out. And Sterling put on a show, as a clown stood up and pretended that he was going to fall, and after 20 minutes took alcohol.

Petr Yan told about the rematch and what he will do in the next fight.

I’m going to destroy Sterling in a rematch. I don’t care when I fight, in a week or a month, I will be ready at any time to return the belt that rightfully belongs to me. For 4 rounds, everyone saw, I made 15 takedowns and missed only one, I also had the initiative, I was good at avoiding attacks and beat the opponent powerfully myself. I’ll change my tactics a little in the next fight, but my goal is to completely destroy this asshole.

Dana White said that the rematch will be in the near future, but knowing Sterling, he will delay this fight as long as possible. Presumably, the rematch will take place in the summer.
