The Netherlands is suspending the use of a coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca for two weeks, according to the government of the country.
«»Based on the new information, the Dutch Medicines Authority (CBG) has advised, as a precautionary measure and pending further investigation, to suspend the use of AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine,» it said in a statement posted on the government’s website.
It is noted that it was also decided not to use the AstraZeneca drug «for the next two weeks (up to and including March 28)».
