Joe Biden, introducing Vice President Kamala Harris to the staff of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, said that she is smarter than him.
The words of the American leader are quoted on the White House website.
During a trip to Georgia, Biden made a speech, and later noted that he should have immediately given the floor to Harris.
«And I shouldn’t have done that, because I wanted to concede the speech to my vice president, who is smarter than me,» he added.
In response, Harris jokingly noted that «there is nothing more to add here.»
Biden took office as president of the United States on January 20. Under him, Kamala Harris took over as vice president. She became the first woman and the first «colored» figure in a position that is considered the second most important in American politics.
